Farmer's Market Season - the Best Time of the Year to Save on Your Food Bill

The local farmer’s market started back up today – hurray! Loaded up on all my favorites. Feel like there is food in the house again. Somehow looking at a pack of hotdogs and ground beef in the fridge just isn’t the same for me as say, a load of zucchinis and tomatoes.

My thrifty self always feels so great when I actually manage to get a nice bulk load of food for what is just about pocket change. For about 15 dollars, I had as much food as I could carry, basically. I should be able to eat pretty well until next week, plus the cost of supplementing this week’s load with rice, oats, a few canned items, etc.
